Prairie Fire Signs & Graphics had the privilege to create an outdoor sign for Heritage Village, an assisted living facility, located in Platte City, Mo.  Heritage Village was undergoing a rebranding effort, in which new signage was necessary for successful transition to new ownership.  The owner of Peninsula Healthcare reached out to Prairie Fire from another healthcare project we tackled in the past. We were able to consult with the team at Heritage Village & Peninsula Healthcare to discuss their desires in new signage, and provided several options to choose from.

During design consultation with our customer, we were able to successfully develop a monument sign of this type while keeping the cost of a monument sign to a minimum due to budget constraints. Our design teams nailed a design for the customer that would speak class, use quality materials, and meet and exceed the city requirements of a monument sign.

We created a 4’x8’ sign with 3M gloss vinyl and gloss laminate to ensure durability and will be long lasting in the Midwest’s harsh summers, and frigid winters.  The lamination process is of utmost importance, as it helps prevent fading of the sign, as well as adds longevity.  This is a step that our competitors will often skip, but it is an invaluable step that helps ensure quality of the product. The sign was then constructed of 3mm aluminum on pressure treated lumber for superior resistance to the ever-changing weather! The support poles were then primed and painted and wrapped in PVC for improved resistance to landscaping damage and potential for wood rot.  Our team of installers were able to bury the supports 30” below ground, to ensure it was below the frost line here in Missouri, for premium durability.  We then engineered a faux stone face, to give the resemblance of a traditional monument sign.  Through our thorough consultative process, the team at Heritage Village chose stones from Boral, the Plum product line.  To ensure the community could see the sign at night, and for the environmentally conscious, we topped this project off with a set of LED solar powered light.

In the end, Heritage Village was extremely pleased with the consultation, design, fabrication, and installation of this gorgeous monument sign. In fact, we were even told how easy the process flowed with Prairie Fire Signs & Graphics.
